GOWGANDA TILLITE

Formed by lithified glacial sediments from the earliest glacial ice age, a Tillite is a glacial Till that has undergone the lithification process. Most Till consists predominantly of Clay, Silt, and sand, but with colorful pebbles, cobbles, and boulders scattered throughout. The most common Gowganda Tillite showcases hues of pinks, greens, and blues. A popular Gowganda formation originated above Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada.
