Also known as Lightning Stones, Michigan Septarians are commonly found in some areas around Southwestern Michigan. Septarians consist of Clay that formed on the seafloor and cracked. This allowed water to flow through the cracks and deposit Calcite, creating lightning patterns. Some Calcite is UV-reactive and will glow under UV light.
